FixMyStreet can be used for reporting things which are broken or dirty or damaged or illegally dumped, need fixing, cleaning or clearing, such as:
Dog Fouling, Flyposting or graffiti, Flytipping or litter, Streetcleaning, such as broken glass in a cycle lane, Unlit lampposts, Potholes and loose paving.
Other groups are organising themselves and improving their neighbourhoods - we could to.

A residents parking scheme
A free long stay car park at this end of the High Street or combine with a free Railway Station
Traffic calming – keep / repair the cobble sets
More disabled parking
Here are just some thoughts that come to mind to kick off with (I admit they are not all mine):-
Close off High Street for a Diamond Jubilee celebration
A Good Neighbour Scheme for local businesses to sign up to (covering deliveries at unsocial hours, opening times, quiet times etc.)
Residents adopt green areas
Friends of Abbey Church
Establish trees in the Abbeylands cul de sac
